CREATE A SHORT FILM IN FOURTEEN DAYS... WINNER GETS A MICRO FEATURE FINANCED

Welcome to the Film Foundry

RoleCall is excited to support FictionFest's Film Foundry initiative by providing funding for a group a filmmakers that are ready to dive into feature film creation.

The Film Foundry processes will allow teams to show their abilities to make a high concept, well executed films in the time constraint of 14 days.

Each round will have a unique prompt shared the night of the launch event. This prompt will be a location and/or a setting and a genre. In true FictionFest style all films will be one of the following genres: Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Action, Adventure, Horror or Thriller.

There will be four rounds per yearly cycle and at the end of the cycle. Teams from the top 3 films of each round will be eligible to have a micro-feature funded by RoleCall at the end of the cycle (Summer 2025). The team to receive funding will be announced in Summer 2025 - production will commence in Fall 2025.

The funding will be dependent on the scope of the film that is to go into production. The short film that the team submits might not necessarily be the film that is made - it's more about the team than it is the film. The investment is going into the team that wins the competition, not necessarily the film that the team submitted. RoleCall will then work with that team - to create the project that is ultimately funded by RoleCall. RoleCall producers break down the script and create the budget for the winning team.
